RESUMEN

The study aimed to address the challenges related to insufficient dissolution and maintenance of supersaturation in binary solid dispersions. Lacidipine, categorized as a BCS class II drug, was employed as the model drug. A systematic screening of excipients was conducted to determine the most effective carriers for the formulations of the ternary solid dispersions, utilizing the solvent transfer method and equilibrium solubility measurements. Both binary and ternary solid dispersions were prepared via spray drying, and comprehensive physicochemical characterization confirmed the successful preparation of amorphous solid dispersions. In vitro dissolution tests, the ternary solid dispersion exhibited marked superiority over the binary solid dispersion in dissolution and maintenance of supersaturation. Furthermore, an exploration into the factors influencing the stability of ternary solid dispersions revealed their robust resistance under light-protected, room-temperature, and desiccated conditions. The formation of intermolecular hydrogen bonding within the molecules of the ternary solid dispersions significantly enhanced drug solubility and system stability. Strategic formulation optimization, coupled with judicious selection of suitable carrier types and ratios, may serve as a promising approach for designing supersaturated drug delivery systems.

RESUMEN

The perovskite/silicon tandem solar cell (TSC) has attracted tremendous attention due to its potential to breakthrough the theoretical efficiency set for single-junction solar cells. However, the perovskite solar cell (PSC) designed as its top component cell suffers from severe photo-induced halide segregation owing to its mixed-halide strategy for achieving desirable wide-bandgap (1.68 eV). Developing pure-iodide wide-bandgap perovskites is a promising route to fabricate photostable perovskite/silicon TSCs. Here, we report efficient and photostable pure-iodide wide-bandgap PSCs made from an anti-solvent-free (ASF) technique. The ASF process is achieved by mixing two precursor solutions, both of which are capable of depositing corresponding perovskite films without involving anti-solvent. The mixed solution finally forms Cs0.3DMA0.2MA0.5PbI3 perovskite film with a bandgap of 1.68 eV. Furthermore, methylammonium chloride additive is applied to enhance the crystallinity and reduce the trap density of perovskite films. As a result, the pure-iodide wide-bandgap PSC delivers efficiency as high as 21.30 % with excellent photostability, the highest for this type of solar cells. The ASF method significantly improves the device reproducibility as compared with devices made from other anti-solvent methods. Our findings provide a novel recipe to prepare efficient and photostable wide-bandgap PSCs.

RESUMEN

Excessive consumption of dietary sodium is a significant contributor to non-communicable diseases, including hypertension and cardiovascular disease. There is now a global consensus that regulating salt intake is among the most cost-effective measures for enhancing public health. More than half of the countries worldwide have implemented multiple strategies to decrease salt consumption. Nevertheless, a report on sodium intake reduction published by the World Health Organization revealed that the world is off-track to meet its targeted reduction of 30% by 2025. The global situation regarding salt reduction remains concerning. This review will center on domestic and international salt reduction policies, as well as diverse strategies, given the detrimental effects of excessive dietary salt intake and the existing global salt intake scenario. Besides, we used visualization software to analyze the literature related to salt reduction research in the last five years to explore the research hotspots in this field. Our objective is to enhance public awareness regarding the imperative of reducing salt intake and promoting the active implementation of diverse salt reduction policies.

RESUMEN

Background: The concomitant rise in the prevalence of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and frailty among the elderly population has been linked to an increase in mortality rates. Despite continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) being the gold standard treatment for OSA, its impact on incident frailty remains inadequately explored. Methods: In this cohort study, we analyzed data from 1290 patients diagnosed with OSA, aged 60 years and older. A subset of 71 patients who demonstrated high adherence to CPAP therapy were categorized as the CPAP group. Propensity score matching (PSM) was employed at a 1:4 ratio, matching for variables such as age, gender, body mass index (BMI), and sleep apnea-hypopnea index (AHI), to establish a non-CPAP group for comparison. The FRAIL scale was utilized to evaluate the frailty status of participants. Logistic regression analysis examined the relationship between CPAP therapy and incident frailty, as well as its individual components, in elderly patients with OSA. Results: During a median follow-up period of 52 months, incident frailty was observed in 70 patients (19.7%). Patients with OSA receiving CPAP therapy exhibited a lower incidence of frailty compared to those not receiving CPAP (11.26% vs 21.83%, P=0.045). In the multivariate model, CPAP therapy was significantly correlated with a reduced risk of incident frailty (OR = 0.36, 95% CI, 0.15-0.88; P = 0.025). Subcomponent analyses revealed that CPAP was associated with a lower risk of fatigue (OR=0.35, 95% CI, 0.19-0.63; P < 0.001), resistance (OR = 0.32, 95% CI, 0.14-0.74; P=0.008), and weight loss (OR = 0.38, 95% CI, 0.19-0.75; P = 0.007). Conclusion: CPAP therapy was associated with a reduced risk of incident frailty among elderly patients with OSA.

RESUMEN

With 40% efficiency under room light intensity, perovskite solar cells (PSCs) will be promising power supplies for low-light applications, particularly for Internet of Things (IoT) devices and indoor electronics, shall they become commercialized. Herein, ß-alaninamide hydrochloride (AHC) is utilized to spontaneously form a layer of 2D perovskite nucleation seeds for improved film uniformity, crystallization quality, and solar cell performance. It is found that the AHC addition indeed improves film quality as demonstrated by better uniformity, lower trap density, smaller lattice stress, and, as a result, a 10-fold increase in charge carrier lifetime. Consequently, not only does the small-area (0.09 cm2 ) PSCs achieve a power conversion efficiency of 42.12%, the large-area cells (1.00 cm2 , and 2.56 cm2 ) attain efficiency as high as 40.93%, and 40.07% respectively. All of these are the highest efficiency values for indoor photovoltaic cells with similar sizes, and more importantly, they represent the smallest efficiency loss due to area scale-up. This work provides a new method to fabricate high-performance indoor PSCs (i-PSCs) for IoT devices with great potential in large-area printing technology.

RESUMEN

With the excessive smartphone use in the workplace, supervisor phubbing has drawn broad concerns in managerial and academic fields. Though the neglect is unintentional, this behavior can generate counterproductive working behaviors. The basic assumptions of this study are that supervisor phubbing can impact employee psychological withdrawal behavior directly and indirectly via work alienation. To provide empirical evidence for the assumptions, the two-wave online survey of 302 Chinese employees without any supervisory functions was conducted on the Questionnaire Star platform. Based on the stressor-emotion model, work alienation is proved to be the psychological path in the positive relationship between supervisor phubbing and employee psychological withdrawal behavior. Different from the current studies exploring the impact mechanism of phubbing behavior on psychological withdrawal behavior between parents and children, couples, or friends, we put this mechanism into the workplace and focus on subordinate-superior relationships. In addition, the positive indirect effects are enhanced when employees have higher interpersonal sensitivity. In practice, these findings suggest that organizations should normalize the smart devices use in the workplace, and supervisors should balance their working roles with other roles. In addition, organizations should strengthen training on adjusting to negative emotions and interpersonal sensitivity control at work. Although two rounds of the time-lagged data were collected in a one-month interval, the limitations of cross-section data still exist, so the conclusions cannot establish causality. Hence, future research may conduct experimental or longitudinal research designs to make the conclusion more rigorous.

RESUMEN

With the widespread use of smartphones, many people spend much time on smartphones for shopping, learning, socializing, and so on, which can affect an individual's mental health and work performance. Especially, individual perceived conflict at work may increase their social anxiety and thus raise the risk of their smartphone addiction. This study collected data from 577 corporate employees in China through convenience sampling to explain the influence mechanism of work conflict on smartphone addiction and to verify the moderating role of rumination. Statistical results show that relationship conflicts, task conflicts, and process conflicts positively affect smartphone addiction by enhancing social anxiety. Moreover, rumination positively moderates the relationship between work conflict and smartphone addiction. People with high rumination are more likely to escape reality due to conflict at work, which further enhances their smartphone addiction behaviors. Our study suggests that a relatively harmonious working atmosphere should be established within organizations, especially for employees with rumination. Work conflict is a predisposing factor for social anxiety and smartphone addiction in individuals with high rumination.

RESUMEN

Under low-illumination conditions, the quality of the images collected by the sensor is significantly impacted, and the images have visual problems such as noise, artifacts, and brightness reduction. Therefore, this paper proposes an effective network based on Retinex for low-illumination image enhancement. Inspired by Retinex theory, images are decomposed into two parts in the decomposition network, and sent to the sub-network for processing. The reconstruction network constructs global and local residual convolution blocks to denoize the reflection component. The enhancement network uses frequency information, combined with attention mechanism and residual density network to enhance contrast and improve the details of the illumination component. A large number of experiments on public datasets show that our method is superior to existing methods in both quantitative and visual aspects.

RESUMEN

Esterases/lipases from the GDSL family have potential applications in the hydrolysis and synthesis of important esters of pharmaceutical, food, and biotechnical interests. However, the structural and functional understanding of GDSL enzymes is still limited. Here, we report the crystal structure of the GDSL family esterase EstL5 complexed with PMSF at 2.34 Šresolution. Intriguingly, the PMSF binding site is not located at the active site pocket but is situated in a surface cavity. At the active site, we note that there is a trapped crystallization solvent 1,6-hexanediol, which mimics the bound ester chain, allowing for further definition of the active site pocket of EstL5. The most striking structural feature of EstL5 is the presence of a unique channel, which extends approximately 18.9 Å, with a bottleneck radius of 6.8 Å, connecting the active-site pocket and the surface cavity. Replacement of Ser205 with the bulk aromatic residue Trp or Phe could partially block the channel at one end and perturb its access. Reduced enzymatic activity is found in the EstL5 S205W and EstL5 S205F mutants, suggesting the functional relevance of the channel to enzyme catalysis. Our study provides valuable information regarding the properties of the GDSL-family enzymes for designing more efficient and robust biocatalysts.

RESUMEN

The non-uniformity of infrared detectors' readout circuits can lead to stripe noise in infrared images, which affects their effective information and poses challenges for subsequent applications. Traditional denoising algorithms have limited effectiveness in maintaining effective information. This paper proposes a multi-level image decomposition method based on an improved LatLRR (MIDILatLRR). By utilizing the global low-rank structural characteristics of stripe noise, the noise and smooth information are decomposed into low-rank part images, and texture information is adaptively decomposed into several salient part images, thereby better preserving texture edge information in the image. Sparse terms are constructed according to the smoothness of the effective information in the final low-rank part of the image and the sparsity of the stripe noise direction. The modeling of stripe noise is achieved using multi-sparse constraint representation (MSCR), and the Alternating Direction Method of Multipliers (ADMM) is used for calculation. Extensive experiments demonstrated the proposed algorithm's effectiveness and compared it with state-of-the-art algorithms in subjective judgments and objective indicators. The experimental results fully demonstrate the proposed algorithm's superiority and efficacy.

RESUMEN

In the volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous environment (VUCA), employees can better match the organization and jobs by crafting their job perceptions, work tasks, and relationships, which is valuable to maintain organizational sustainable competitiveness and promote employees' personal growth. This study explores the influence mechanisms of job autonomy and work meaning on employees' job-crafting behaviors and the moderating effect of perceived organizational change through a survey of 318 employees in Chinese companies. The results show that job autonomy and work meaning can promote employees' job-crafting behaviors by increasing individuals' harmonious work passion. The indirect effects of job autonomy and work meaning on employee job-crafting behaviors through harmonious work passion are stronger for individuals with high perceived organizational change relative to those with low perceived organizational change. Organizations should concentrate on job redesign to improve employees' job autonomy and work meaning. A climate of change should also be created within the organization to keep employees aware of the crisis. Meanwhile, employees should actively use work resources to meet the changing needs of organizational development and promote individual career development through job-crafting behaviors.

RESUMEN

Body temperature serves as the principal factor in thermal perception determination. Current thermal comfort researches mainly focused on skin temperature, while other kinds of body temperatures were often ignored. In laboratory with strictly controlled environment, 26 subjects (13 males and 13 females) remained seated for a duration of 130 min in two thermal environments (19 °C and 35 °C), arranged in a particular order; four kinds of body temperatures (skin temperature, oral temperature, auditory canal temperature and breath temperature) and three kinds of thermal perception votes (thermal sensation, thermal comfort and thermal acceptable) were regularly collected. The analysis results showed that, skin temperature and breath temperature significantly changed with ambient temperature (p < 0.001); the difference between average value of core temperature in two conditions was small (≤0.3 °C), but a significant difference was almost observed in auditory canal temperature of males (p = 0.07). Both skin temperature and breath temperature were significantly related with three subjective votes (p < 0.001), meanwhile, the prediction accuracy of breath temperature for thermal perception was in no way inferior to skin temperature. Although oral temperature and auditory canal temperature had partial significant correlations with thermal perception, they were difficult to be carried out in practical application due to their weak explanatory powers (correlation coefficient <0.3). In summary, this research tried to establish correlation laws between body temperatures and thermal perception votes during a temperature step-change experiment, while finding the potential of utilizing breath temperature for thermal perception prediction, which is expected to be further promoted in the future.

RESUMEN

With declining birth rates, and decreasing family sizes being witnessed around the world, helicopter parenting-characterized by high warmth, high control, and low empowerment-is becoming increasingly common among parents. Parenting styles exert long-term effects on individuals' cognition and behavior, not only in early childhood, but also in adulthood: therefore, within this context, this study explored the underlying influence mechanism of helicopter parenting style on interpersonal conflict, through a survey of 505 Chinese college students. Using multiwave data, our analysis uncovered the mediating roles of psychological entitlement and fear of missing out, as well as the moderating role of a competitive climate. In particular, we found that helicopter parenting enhances interpersonal conflict among college students, by strengthening psychological entitlement and fear of missing out. In addition, the indirect effect of fear of missing out is stronger than that of psychological entitlement. We also found that a competitive climate positively moderates the indirect effect of helicopter parenting on interpersonal conflict among college students through psychological entitlement and fear of missing out, indicating that the negative effects of helicopter parenting are more pronounced in a high competitive climate. These results provide a novel theoretical account of how early parenting styles affect an adult's cognition and behavior. Practically, these results suggest that parents should limit the use of helicopter parenting, and that, while loving and caring for their child, they should allow their child appropriate autonomy. On the other hand, children should strive for positive self-improvement and harmonious peer relationships, to alleviate the negative influence of helicopter parenting.

RESUMEN

The Auriculariaceae accounts for most of the species in the Auriculariales, and all species in the family are wood-decaying fungi with gelatinous, crustaceous, or woody basidiomes. Many new taxa were published recently, but the taxonomy and phylogeny of the corticioid species in the Auriculariaceae are far from resolved. We undertook a comprehensive taxonomic and phylogenetic study of the family with emphasis on corticioid specimens collected from East and Southeast Asia. Phylogenetic analyses on concatenated ITS and 28S rDNA sequences of representative taxa of the Auriculariaceae and the genera Eichleriella and Heteroradulum were carried out that resolved five new lineages. Heterocorticium gen. nov. is established for two species with resupinate coriaceous basidiomes with smooth, pigmented hymenophores. Five new species, H. bambusicola (generic type), H. latisporum, Eichleriella alpina, E. bambusicola, and Heteroradulum maolanense, are described and illustrated. In addition, Heterochaete delicata, H. discolor, and H. sinensis are transferred to Eichleriella, whereas H. roseola is regarded as a synonym of Kneiffia discolor (= H. discolor). Eichleriella aculeobasidiata is treated as a synonym of Heterochaete sinensis (= E. sinensis). Heterochaete mussooriensis is transferred to Heteroradulum with Heteroradulum semis as a heterotypic synonym. The present study contributes to the understanding of species diversity, taxonomy, and phylogeny of corticioid fungi in Asia.

RESUMEN

Perovskite-based tandem solar cells have attracted increasing interest because of its great potential to surpass the Shockley-Queisser limit set for single-junction solar cells. In the tandem architectures, the wide-bandgap (WBG) perovskites act as the front absorber to offer higher open-circuit voltage (VOC) for reduced thermalization losses. Taking advantage of tunable bandgap of the perovskite materials, the WBG perovskites can be easily obtained by substituting halide iodine with bromine, and substituting organic ions FA and MA with Cs. To date, the most concerned issues for the WBG perovskite solar cells (PSCs) are huge VOC deficit and severe photo-induced phase separation. Reducing VOC loss and improving photostability of the WBG PSCs are crucial for further efficiency breakthrough. Recently, scientists have made great efforts to overcome these key issues with tremendous progresses. In this review, we first summarize the recent progress of WBG perovskites from the aspects of compositions, additives, charge transport layers, interfaces and preparation methods. The key factors affecting efficiency and stability are then carefully discussed, which would provide decent guidance to develop highly efficient and stable WBG PSCs for tandem application.

RESUMEN

Surface-defect-triggered non-radiative charge recombination and poor stability have become the main roadblock to continued improvement in inorganic perovskite solar cells (PSCs). Herein, the main culprits are identified on the inorganic perovskite surface by first-principles calculations, and to purposefully design a brand-new passivator, Boc-S-4-methoxy-benzyl-l-cysteine (BMBC), whose multiple Lewis-based functional groups (NH, S and CO) to suppress halide vacancies and coordinate with undercoordinated Pb2+ through typical Lewis baseacid reactions. The tailored electron-donating methoxyl group (CH3 O-) can cause an increased electron density on the benzene ring, which strengthens the interaction with undercoordinated Pb2+ via electrostatic interactions. This BMBC passivation can reduce the surface trap density, enlarge grains, prolong the charge lifetime, and cause a more suitable energy-level alignment. In addition, the hydrophobic tert-butyl in butoxycarbonyl (Boc-) group ensures that BMBC is uniformly covered and prevents harmful aggregation through steric repulsion at the perovskite/hole-transporting layer (HTL) interface, thus providing a hydrophobic umbrella to resist moisture invasion. Consequently, the combination of the above increases the efficiency of CsPbI3-x Brx PSC from 18.6% to 21.8%, the highest efficiency for this type of inorganic metal halide PSCs so far, as far as it is known. Moreover, the device exhibits higher environmental and thermal stability.

RESUMEN

Introduction: Adversity can bring stress and challenges to an individual's life, but many people who experience adversity also have positive changes. The formative mechanisms of individual adversarial growth have received widespread attention. Methods: A two-wave survey of 421 Chinese employees who experienced adversity during the COVID-19 epidemic was used to examine the influence mechanism of organizational compassion on adversarial growth and the moderating effect of job control. Results: Through correlation analysis, hierarchical regression, and bootstrap test on the cross-sectional data, the study has verified organizational compassion, work passion, self-worth, and adversarial growth form a chain mediating relation. Job control negatively moderates the indirect effect of organizational compassion on adversarial growth through work passion and self-worth, that is, the positive effect of organizational compassion on employee adversarial growth through work passion and self-worth is more pronounced under lower job control. Discussion: Organizational compassion can increase employee adversarial growth by enhancing their work passion and self-worth. Organizations should also pay more attention to those employees with lower job control who are in adversity, they are more likely to benefit from the organization's care and compassion.

RESUMEN

αL-rhamnosidase (EC 3.2.1.40) has been widely used in food processing and pharmaceutical preparation. The recombinant α-L-rhamnosidase N12-Rha from Aspergillus niger JMU-TS528 had significantly higher catalytic activity on α-1,6 glycosidic bond than α-1,2 glycosidic bond, and had no activity on α-1,3 glycosidic bond. The activities of hydrolyzed hesperidin and naringin were 7240 U/mL and 945 U/mL, respectively, which are 10.63 times that of native α-L-rhamnosidase. The activity could maintain more than 80% at pH 3-6 and 40-60℃. Quantum chemistry calculations showed that charge difference of the C-O atoms of the α-1,2, α-1,3 and α-1,6 bonds indicated that α-1,6 bond is most easily broken and α-1,3 bond is the most stable. Molecular dynamics simulations revealed that the key residue Trp359 that may affect substrate specificity and the main catalytic sites of N12-Rha are located in the (α/α)6-barrel domain.

RESUMEN

Parental control can affect a children's attitudes and their ability to cope with adversity after they become adults. This study explored the influence mechanism of parental control on adversity growth and the moderating effect of a growth mindset through a questionnaire survey completed by 354 Chinese college students born in one-child families. Hierarchical regression and structural equation analysis results show that parental control negatively affects adversarial growth, and self-identity plays a mediating role between parental control and adversarial growth. A higher degree of parental control will reduce the individual's self-identity, which is not conducive to the occurrence of adversarial growth. A growth mindset negatively moderates the indirect effect of parental control on adversarial growth through self-identity. Individuals with a strong growth mindset have reduced negative effects of parental control on self-identity and adversarial growth. Even in countries with collectivist cultures, parental controls also need to be implemented carefully, and controlling parenting styles may be detrimental to individual growth after adversity. At the same time, it is necessary to consciously cultivate children's growth mindsets, so as to inhibit the negative impact of parental control on adversarial growth.

RESUMEN

A partitionable adaptive multilayer diffractive optical neural network is constructed to address setup issues in multilayer diffractive optical neural network systems and the difficulty of flexibly changing the number of layers and input data size. When the diffractive devices are partitioned properly, a multilayer diffractive optical neural network can be constructed quickly and flexibly without readjusting the optical path, and the number of optical devices, which increases linearly with the number of network layers, can be avoided while preventing the energy loss during propagation where the beam energy decays exponentially with the number of layers. This architecture can be extended to construct distinct optical neural networks for different diffraction devices in various spectral bands. The accuracy values of 89.1% and 81.0% are experimentally evaluated for MNIST database and MNIST fashion database and show that the classification performance of the proposed optical neural network reaches state-of-the-art levels.
